I recently wiped Fedora on my ThinkPad and installed Omarchy. Within five minutes of booting it up, I was completely sold.

The speed and responsiveness are on another level. Switching to a lightweight, keyboard-driven tiling workflow felt awkward for about two minutes and then completely natural. Moving around the system is just so much faster now.

I also found this video interview with DHH, which captures exactly why this approach to Linux hits the mark for me:

Omarchy takes a very opinionated stance compared to a traditional Linux desktop, but that’s precisely what makes it feel so fresh and fun to use.
